Eric Morgan – A Fond Memory

Eric Morgan was an avid supporter of Abercynon RFC.

He wore his patronage to the club on his sleeve. There was no need to ask which team he favoured because it was instantly apparent. Hardly an introvert, Eric’s stentorian voice rang out not only at Y Parc but at every rugby ground he visited.

That said, Eric had a pleasant singing voice which he was always willing to demonstrate. As far as banter was concerned opposing supporters responded at their peril and he very often left many of them speechless.

Though he had been ill for some time, Eric’s passing has come as a shock to many.

Abercynon RFC would like to pass on their sincere condolences to Eric’s wife Janet, son Gary, daughters Alison and Andrea, also, their respective families and friends.
