Abercynon RFC Club Cap Night

ABERCYNON RFC CLUB CAP NIGHT

On Friday 10th November 2017 at 7pm, Abercynon RFC will be holding a club caps night for all past and present players to mark their achievements and dedication for playing over 250 matches for the club.

Abercynon RFC is proud to have had so many players who have dedicated themselves to the club over numerous seasons to achieve this milestone, with many having reached well over 250 and 300 match appearances. Players often comment that it’s a privilege to  wear the Abercynon RFC jersey on the pitch, and the presentation of these caps is only a small gesture in return from the club to say ‘thank you’ for their commitment to club.

Abercynon RFC realises that there are past and present players who unfortunately have received their club cap but are currently not recognised in the clubhouse and don’t have a photograph of their proud achievements on the club house wall of fame. Therefore, the awards evening will give these players the opportunity to bring their prestigious cap along with them and have a photograph taken that will then be rightfully uplifted onto the clubhouse wall by the club.

Can all past and present players spread the word to ensure everyone (the more the merrier) is given the opportunity to have a place in the club’s proud history. There will also be a buffet provided on the night, in what promises to be a great night as the evening is sure to bring some nostalgic rugby memories and stories from all.  If you would like further information please contact any member of the committee.
