Abercynon RFC are justifiably proud of our Minis and Juniors Section. It is a hugely successful part of our flourishing Club with well over 150 children turning out for training, match days and festivals against other regional clubs.
Our players range in age from 5 (child needs to be 6 to play games) to 16 and until the age of 12 we welcome boys and girls in all our squads. What unites them all is having fun playing their chosen sport with their great friends.
The success of our Minis and Juniors teams is down to the commitment and hard work of our volunteer coaches – most of whom are the parents of players. As parents, our coaches understand the need to ensure that our children enjoy their rugby in a safe and fun environment. As a club, we make that possible by making sure that all of our coaches and First Aiders have an up to date DBS check and have received the necessary WRU training to enable them to coach at their chosen level. For parents, that means peace of mind and a reassurance that your child is in good hands.
