It is with great sadness to report that Abercynon Rugby Community has lost Tex Morgan one of its great characters. Tex Morgan was a great bloke who was loved and respected by all associated with the club. Tex, was a member of the Vice Presidents Club and the image attached was taken on one of our first gatherings at St.Peter's Rugby Club with his brother Robert''Pluggy'' Morgan and nephew Gareth.
Over the years, Tex collected the entrance money for all home games at Y Parc and he also organised many a great trip from Abercynon to Scotland for the Calcutta Cup and Six Nations games, where he built great rugby connections with our Celtic neighbours.
Abercynon Rugby Club would like to offer their sincerest condolences to Tex's family and friends.
The funeral of Tex Morgan will take place on Tuesday 7th August 2018 , 12pm at Glyntaff crematorium.
